Washington Trip (1) ワシントントリップ (1) 8/29

I am back on Maui!
I had a meaningful trip in Washington. I am going to write about what I did there...

Tuesday, 8/29

I did homework.
I cleaned the house.
I did laundry.
I organized Grandma's caregiver schedule and made a handbook.
I talked to each caregiver what to do at night and at certain situations.
I did errands.
I checked all the bills.
Everything should be fine for the next several days...

Grandma looked stable when I left which gave ease to my concerned mind.

Loren's friend, Chris, took me to the airport. Thanks, Chris.

The last time I talked to Loren, he said that his cell phone would die soon, and he could not find the battery charger... I hoped that I can talk to him when I arrive at Seattle Airport.

The plane left at 7:35 pm. I studied for the State of Hawaii Massage Therapist Licensing Exam in the plane. I will have the exam a day after I return to Maui, so I better get ready for it.

I listened to Dave Matthews Band's CD with my portable CD player (I don't have an iPod or similar electronic device yet...). I finally understood the lyric of "Satellite." I really like the song now.

I could not sleep in the plane. Maybe I was too excited for the trip or to see Loren.
I slept about an hour.

8月29日火曜日

宿題はしたし。
家の掃除もしたし。
洗濯もしたし。
おばあちゃんをお世話してくれる人たちのスケジュールもちゃんと組んで、ハンドブックも作ったし。
そのお世話してくれる人たち一人一人と、色々なシチュエーションで何をするべきかも話したし。
買い物や用事（銀行とか）も済ませたし。
電気代とか、ガス代とか、電話代とかの請求書もチェックしたし。
これから何日かの間、全てが順調に回ってくれるはず・・・。

私が家を出るときには、おばあちゃんは気持ち的に落ち着いていたようなので、ほっとした。

ローレンのお友達のクリスが空港まで送ってくれた。ありがとう、クリス。

最後にローレンと話したときには、「携帯がすぐに電池切れになるかも。充電器見つからないし！」って言ってた。どうなることかしら。シアトル空港に着いた時に話せるといいのだけど。

7時35分にカフルイ空港出発。飛行機の中では、ハワイ州マッサージセラピスト資格試験に向けて勉強。ワシントンから帰ってきた翌日にそのテストがあるのです。

Dave Matthews BandのCDを私の携帯CDプレイヤーで聴きながら（iPodなどのコンパクトな音楽を聴ける電子機器はまだ持ってません。）やっと「Satellite（サテライト）」という曲の歌詞を理解できたような。今はSatelliteが大のお気に入りに。

飛行機の中では寝れませんでした。遠足の前の日にワクワクしている子どものように、これから始まる旅に対して興奮して寝れないのか、久しぶりにローレンに会えるので嬉しくて寝れないのか。一時間だけ寝ました。
