This past weekend, Loren's friend, Patrick and his wife, Ratih, and their beautiful sons, Oshean and Orion were visiting us from California.
Loren and Patrick has known each other more than a decade. They both went to the University of Wisconsin and met at one of college parties. It's nice to have a steady friend that long and feel as if just talked to him yesterday.
We took them to Hana for a night, the remote area on Maui where beautiful Hawaiian culture and nature can be witnessed. We went to countless beaches and water falls, and we swam and dived. Hana was beautiful as usual and healed me.
It had been a while since I went to Hana.

先週末、ローレンのお友達のパトリックと、奥さんのラティと、二人のかわいい息子二人、オーシャンとオライオンがカリフォルニアからハワイに来ておりました。
ローレンとパトリックは11年以上の仲。二人ともウイスコンシン大学に行って、大学友達のあるパーティーで知り合ったそうです。ずっと会ってなくても昨日話したみたいにすぐに打ち解けられる、長い間ずっと友達でいられる友達を持てるって有難いですね。
ローレンと私は彼らを一泊二日のハナトリップへお連れしました。マウイの中心地から遠く離れた、古きよきハワイの文化と自然が見られるところです。数え切れないほどの滝やビーチを訪れてめいいっぱい泳いだり飛び込んだりして遊びました。相変わらず美しいハナに癒されました。
久しぶりのハナでした。
