From Sannomiya to Matsuyama 三ノ宮から松山へ

After seeing my friend Y and his friends, I took a highway bus to go back to Matsuyama, Ehime where my parents live.
It was last Wednesday, 7/11.

(Japanese) 友達Yと彼の友達と時間を過ごした後は、両親の住む愛媛県松山市へ向けて高速バスに乗り込みました。
それは先週の水曜日、7月11日のこと。


The bus left Sannomiya station in Kobe.
(Japanese)　バスは神戸にある三ノ宮駅から出ました。


The view is still city-like.
(Japanese)　景色はまだ都会ですね。


Oh, it reached the Setonai-kai.
(Japanese)　そう言っているうちに、瀬戸内海に届きました。

(Japanese)　景色は変わっていきます。この写真は日本の田舎の一風景です。私は田舎が好きです。

It took 4 hours from Sannomiya to Matsuyama. I like highway buses in Japan. They are pretty comfortable. When I was younger, I used to ride the night bus between Tokyo and Kochi.
(Japanese)　三ノ宮から松山まで4時間くらいでした。私は結構高速バスが好きです。心地よいです。もっと若い頃はよく東京と高知間の夜行バスに乗っていました。


You can bring this leg rest up, and you can recline your seat to the point that the seat looks like a bed.
(Japanese)　足を置く台を持ち上げることが出来ます。席は横になれるほど倒せます。


There is a bathroom in the bus as well as a cooler box. There are packs of tea and coffee in it. You can drink them at no charge.
(Japanese)　車内にはトレイもありますし、こうして保冷ボックスもあり、その中に入っているお茶とコーヒーを飲むことも出来ました。


I got my own tea before I got on the bus. I can put it in this net. There was a small magazine to read.
(Japanese)　バスに乗る前に自分でお茶を買ってありました。それをネットに入れられます（日本では当たり前だけど、アメリカではあまり見ないので一応書いておいた）。雑誌も読めるようになっています。

You can even wear these slippers in the bus to relax your feet. A pair of slippers is provided with each customer.
(Japanese)　足をリラックスさせるために、この設置されたスリッパを履くことも出来ます。一人一人のお客さんに備え付けられています。


I felt good knowing that I was going home.
(Japanese)　家に帰っていることを再認識した私は、気持ちが嬉しいと共に、落ち着くのでした。
